For best results when repairing Stainless Steel Follow these guidelines

IMPORTANT: This kit is ONLY designed to be used for non-coated stainless steel surfaces. DO NOT use on any other surfaces. You MUST confirm that the surface is stainless steel and that it is NOT coated, otherwise you can cause more damage. Check with your owner's manual, or contact the manufacturer to insure the surface is stainless steel and that it is not coated.

For Life Products, Inc., shall not be responsible for any damage caused by your use or misuse of this product.

After confirming that the surface is non-coated stainless steel, identify the grain direction and the scratch depth then proceed to the appropriate step.

A. Deep scratches & gouges, start with sandpaper pad - Course.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: It is important that the movement of the abrasion pad must follow the same direction as the original grain of the surface. Always apply with an even, moderate pressure. For deeper scratches heavier pressure and longer sanding may be needed until you achieve the desired results. Additionally, removal of the DEEPEST scratches should be done first, moderate scratches done second and fine scratch marks done last. By following this order you'll be able to adequately blend the stainless steel surface so you'll have a uniform finish. The final step Cutting Lube blending process will eliminate the brightness and blend the newly refinished area to match the surrounding area.

NOTICE: DO NOT PROCEED WITH ANY SCRATCH REMOVAL STEPS BELOW UNLESS YOU HAVE FIRST THOROUGHLY READ THE IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOVE!

A. DEEP SCRATCH REMOVAL – Attach coarse sandpaper to applicator.
DO NOT USE Cutting Lube with the sand paper.

1. Place applicator with the sandpaper attached over scratch, tilt applicator forward (See Figure A) and apply moderate to moderate heavy pressure using very short strokes. Move the applicator back and forth as per the image 3 – 5 times.

How to

TIP: if the scratch is wider then the applicator work in one section of the scratch until the scratch is gone and then move on the other section of the scratch. See Figure B

2. Stop, view and inspect the scratch. If the deep scratch is still visible, repeat step 1 until the deep scratch is gone. TIP: You may need to rotate the applicator 180 degrees to use a fresh sandpaper section for maximum scratch removal. You may be repeating the above 3 to 5 times.

3. Stop, wipe the area with the microfiber cloth, view and inspect the scratch. If the moderate scratch is still visible, repeat step 2 until the scratch has been eliminated. You may be repeating the above 3 to 5 times.

B. MODERATE SCRATCH REMOVAL – use maroon medium pad.

NOTICE: DO NOT PROCEED WITH ANY SCRATCH REMOVAL STEPS BELOW UNLESS YOU HAVE FIRST THOROUGHLY READ THE IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOVE!

1. Carefully tear open Cutting Lube packet along the tear notch and apply approximately 3 – 4 drops (pea size) of Cutting Lube on the surface of the maroon pad.

2. Place the applicator on surface just below the scratch. Moving in the direction of the grain, slide the applicator back and forth with moderate to heavy pressure initially with 10 passes.

TIP: if the scratch is wider then the applicator work in one section of the scratch until the scratch is gone and then move on the other section of the scratch. See Figure B

3. Stop, wipe the area with the microfiber cloth, view and inspect the scratch. If the moderate scratch is still visible, repeat step 2 until the scratch has been eliminated. You may be repeating the above 3 to 5 times.

4. Once moderate scratches are gone and only fine scratches remain remove the maroon pad from applicator and go to Step C using the grey pad for light scratch removal and blending.

C. FINE SCRATCH REMOVAL – Attach grey fine pad to applicator. This pad will be used for the majority of all scratches.

NOTICE: DO NOT PROCEED WITH ANY SCRATCH REMOVAL STEPS BELOW UNLESS YOU HAVE FIRST THOROUGHLY READ THE IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOVE!

1. Apply approximately 3 – 4 drops (pea size) of Cutting Lube on the surface of the grey pad.

2. Place the applicator on surface just below the scratch. Moving in the direction of the grain, slide pad back and forth using moderate, even pressure with 8 – 10 passes.

TIP: if the scratch is wider then the applicator work in one section of the scratch until the scratch is gone and then move on the other section of the scratch. See Figure B

3. Stop, wipe the area with the microfiber cloth, view and inspect the scratch. If the light scratch or scratches are still visible, repeat step 2 until the scratches have been eliminated. You may be repeating the above 3 to 5 times.

4. Once the light scratches are gone leaving the refinished area brighter than the surrounding area, you are ready to proceed to the final step Step D. Blending to make the surface look new again!

D. FINAL STEP: BLENDING – Blending of the surface is critical to achieving a satisfactory result and make the surface look new again.
Attach grey pad to applicator.

NOTICE: DO NOT PROCEED WITH ANY SCRATCH REMOVAL STEPS BELOW UNLESS YOU HAVE FIRST THOROUGHLY READ THE IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOVE!

NOTICE: DO NOT PROCEED WITH ANY SCRATCH REMOVAL STEPS BELOW UNLESS YOU HAVE FIRST THOROUGHLY READ THE IMPORTANT NOTICE ABOVE!

1. With the grey pad still attached to the applicator from the previous step, apply another 3 – 4 drops (pea size) of the Cutting Lube to the surface of the grey pad.

2. Place the applicator over the newly refinished area. Using light pressure, slide the long side of the applicator back and forth 10 times over the scratch with the grain, as well as the surrounding area of the newly refinished area, gradually increasing the treatment area until it is 3-4 times larger than original scratched area (approximately 3 - 5 inches around the newly refinished area on all sides). See Figure C

3. Stop, wipe the area with the microfiber cloth and view, inspect entire area. Repeat until the entire area blends with the surrounding area then buff to a shine with microfiber cloth.
