How to Use Rejuvenate All Floors Restorer

We get asked many questions on what is the best method to restore hardwood floors, wood laminate and other flooring surfaces. For floors that are more than 5 years old, we recommend our All Floors Restorer.

Rejuvenate® All Floors Restorer is the #1 polymer based floor finish that in 1 mop-on application fills in scratches, brings back shine, seals and protects from water & UV damage and adds up to 50% more traction to make floors safer for your family and your pets.

This restorer can be used on many floor surfaces and works best on previously sealed surfaces. Our All Floors Restorer leaves behind a subtle shine that your guests are sure to compliment. For a shinier finish, apply a second coat after the first coat has dried.

Q: What is the difference between All Floors Restorer and Wood Floor Professional Restorer?

A: The Rejuvenate All Floors Restorer is a water based polymer formula which adds a beautiful protective shine to your surface, brings back the luster, and adds up to 50% more traction to the area.  It can be used on almost any flooring surface including hardwood and laminates.

The Rejuvenate Professional Wood Floor Restorer line (available in a Satin or High-Gloss finish) is a Urethane based product that is specially formulated for hardwood floors only. Do not use our Professional Restorer product line on laminates or anything other than hardwood or engineered wood. Please see our Professional Wood Floor Restorer Guide for detailed instructions on how to use that product.

We recommend that you follow the instructions on the All Floors Restorer bottle in its entirety. Your first step would be to remove any wax or oil residue left by other cleaners, then use the Rejuvenate No-Bucket Floor Cleaner to properly prepare your flooring surfaces before applying Rejuvenate All Floors.

Important Tip:

Please spot test our products in an inconspicuous area first to make sure they meet your satisfaction.

Q: Can I Use a Steam Mop After Using Rejuvenate All Floors Restorer?

A: We do not recommend using a steam mop on Rejuvenated floors. The high heat and moisture generated by a steam mop may soften or start to lift up or remove the Rejuvenate product from the floor.  This may happen immediately or take place over time with repeated use of a steam mop.

Also, as a result of using a steam mop, it may leave a streaky, hazy, milky look on your floors.  For best results, we recommend our No Bucket Floor Cleaner or our Floor Shine Refresher to clean and maintain all Rejuvenated floors.

Q: How do I apply Rejuvenate All Floors Restorer?

A: All of our products have explicit directions and cautions printed on their labels, which we have expanded on in our detailed All Floors Restorer users guide.

Special Note

For the best results, we recommend that you always test an inconspicuous area if this is the first time using All Floors Restorer.

Rejuvenate Your Floors Using a 3-Step Process; Clean, Pour, Mop

Clean

  • Sweep your floor to remove any loose dirt and debris
  • Thoroughly clean your floors with Rejuvenate No Bucket Floor Cleaner to remove all remaining grime, stains or residue leftover from other floor cleaning and restoration products
  • Let floors dry completely

Pour

  • Pour Rejuvenate All Floors Restorer directly on your clean and dry floor
  • Work on a small area at a time (about 4 ft. x 4 ft.)
  • Note: Only use Rejuvenate All Floors Restorer when temperatures are above 50° Fahrenheit

Mop

  • Apply the All Floors Restorer evenly across the floor using a clean Microfiber Bonnet placed over a sponge mop
  • Once you treat one section, move on to the next area of your floor
  • Allow to dry for at least 45 minutes before walking on floor

Pro Tip #1

  • If you have wood floors, make sure you mop and apply the restorer in the same direction as the planks or grain.
  • Don’t apply in a crisscross direction – you want to work your mop evenly across the floor – going with the wood grain

Pro Tip #2

  • If you miss a spot, DO NOT go over the area again
  • Wait until your floor is completely dry then pour some of the All Floors Restorer on a clean microfiber cloth or applicator mitt and touch up any missed spots
  • A single coat is all you need to restore your floors, however; you can apply a 2nd coat if desired, for a higher shine

Q: How Do I Clean and Maintain my Restored Floors?

A: General Floor Restoration Maintenance Tips

  • Our No-Bucket Floor Cleaner is the only product recommended for recently Rejuvenated floors
  • The floor cleaner is perfect for everyday cleaning
  • You can also use Rejuvenate Shine Refresher to clean and prolong the shine of recently Rejuvenated floors

Important Maintenance Tip #1:

To preserve the finish of your newly Rejuvenated floors, any spills should be wiped clean immediately and do not use a steam mop to clean your floors.

Important Maintenance Tip #2:

Do not use any solvents, ammonia based or orange type cleaners as they will damage the shine and luster of your Rejuvenated floors. However, you can use an all-purpose cleaner that is oil free, does not contain citrus and is pH balanced.
